Win at CTMP

Win at CTMP

We kicked things off with a win in the Bryan Herta Autosport Hyundai ELANTRA N TCR. The team gave me a great race car all weekend, and it felt good to put everything together and come away with another victory. It’s always rewarding when the preparation pays off, and it was a great way to continue our momentum in the championship.

CTMP was a really satisfying weekend from start to finish.

Then it was time to switch gears.

About 30 minutes after climbing out of the ELANTRA, I was strapped into the DXDT Racing Corvette Z06 GT3.R for qualifying. It was my first time ever qualifying a GT3 car, and honestly, it was one of the most fun laps I’ve ever driven. The challenge of jumping from a front-wheel-drive TCR car into a GT3 machine that quickly is something I really enjoyed, and putting the Corvette on the front row with a P2 was a pretty special moment. Huge thanks to the DXDT crew for giving me such a fast car.

Unfortunately, the WeatherTech race didn’t go the way we wanted, but that’s part of racing. Even though the result wasn’t there, Robert Wickens and I continue to make great progress together, and we’ve shown we have the pace to fight at the front. We’ll take what we learned, keep building, and come back ready to fight for a win.

Overall, there was a lot to be proud of this weekend. Winning in TCR, qualifying P2 in my first GT3 qualifying session, and getting to compete at a high level in two completely different race cars all in the same day is something I’ll remember for a long time.

Now it’s time to turn our attention to Road America. I’m excited to get back to work and keep the momentum rolling.
